Our name, Pine for Cedar, is inspired by lyrics written by the musician - Dan Mangan. I LOVE these lyrics and the longing they describe.  The name stuck and my designs will always be inherently wild, romantic and grounded in foliage as if it were growing naturally in a garden.

Utilizing my background in communications and event planning, it is my goal to create designs authentically you while providing an organized and detailed approach to aid in your wedding planning. From our consultations to our proposals you can expect a transparent and honest look at all that goes into your wedding floral. I am passionate about weddings and creating unique and creative arrangements for my couples that express their personal style & vibe.

our story

In early 2017, my partner Stephen and I were planning our wedding. After taking some floral workshops for fun I decided I would try my hand at doing our own wedding flowers. I have always been crafty and picked up the floral design skills I learned quickly. Our wedding day was beautiful but the days leading up to it were full of stress and flower orders; it was my first glimpse into the life of a wedding florist. The Toth’s Photo & Film captured our wedding day so well and below are some of the first professional photos of my work at our wedding. I learned so much executing our wedding flowers and I was hooked! I knew that I wanted my creative business to be in wedding floral design. 

The next step was more floral education and developing my personal floral style.  I completed my floral design certificate at Mount Royal University and several online floral and business courses from flower legends Jessica Zimmerman and Holly Chapel.  And just like that - Pine for Cedar was born in November 2017.
